The INDEPENDENCE HALL JAZZ BAND is one of the finest traditional jazz bands in the country.

Based in Philadelphia, this seven piece jazz band is made up of players who are not only experienced, but masters of the style.

Using tuba, banjo, piano and drums in the rhythm section, they apply the two-beat style to a wide variety of music. This is a band that has fun playing music from the early 1900s to popular music of today, including originals written for the band.

The band's music covers a wide range, from Jelly Roll Morton ragtime music to the more recognizable Dixieland jazz songs popularized by Louis Armstrong, Jack Teagarden, Pete Fountain and many others. 

The INDEPENDENCE HALL JAZZ BAND has more than 300 songs in its repertoire, including arrangements appropriate for weddings, funerals, parades, dances, concerts, parties, and picnics.
